Jennifer Perry is in her thirties and lives in New Haven, CT. She's just completed her PhD at Yale University in molecular cellular and developmental biology.

With all of her successes, Jennifer, unfortunately feels she's got one failure, hence the inspiration of her blog: 101 Reasons I Hate Being Fat.

She can tell you that she's pretty much tried every diet possible and nothing in the past had worked for her. She's tried being really positive when approaching weight loss, and it never seemed to work for her. She just kept coming back to the idea that she simply hated being overweight.

Then she says a light bulb went off in her head and she thought "let's look at this with a negative spin", and that's when 101 Reasons I Hate Being Fat was born. It's looking at something negative like the fat and how bad it makes us feel, and poking fun at it. She turned something negative into something positive and created a blog that has a very active community. The ratio of people commenting compared to the level of traffic she gets is significant.
